Saturday Races-
Race 1
American Thunder- Had a fun battle with Eric Reyes. Stayed consistent and was able to hold onto 4th and set a PR of 2:04:072.
Race 2
CVMA Hooligans- This was the first race for the new Hooligans class at CVMA. Made a few passes and had an epic battle with Mike Nelson. Kept it consistent and was back in the 2:04s. Didn’t let anyone pass and couldn’t gain any ground on Adan Mendoza so I ended up with a solid 5th. Very happy with the bike and the progression forward.
Sunday Races-
Race 1
American Thunder- Made a few minor adjustments that helped me drop a bit of time. Didn’t really have a battle this time. Raced my own race and just worked on body position a bit because I am battling ground clearance. Set a new PR and broke into a 2:03:776! Finished a solid 4th.
Race 2
CVMA Hooligans- The final race of the weekend and the grid was stacked with a bunch of fast guys. Kept it fast and consistent the entire race and broke into the 2:03s again which I was thrilled with. After chasing Alex Calloway and Adan Mendoza I secured a 3rd place and had a Podium finish!
Overall I feel like I killed it on the first real shakedown with this TOCE Performance Indian FTR 1200. Ground clearance is a major issue but we have some ideas to put us in the right direction. There is a lot of time to find but we will get there. Thank you to my coach Carbon Merrill for making me not just fast but consistent. Also for getting these bikes race ready in a short amount of time. Thank you to Blud Lubricants for protecting our bikes with all this POWAA! Thank you to Racers Edge Performance for providing Dunlop Slicks. Thank you to KYT Americas for coming on this year and protecting my most valuable asset! Thank you to BrakeTech for being apart of the race program this year. Huge shoutout to CVMA Racing for giving us a true racers organization. Also a huge shoutout to my dad for keeping the team and I fed this weekend!
